In its May issue, Explore – “Canada’s Adventure Magazine” – named the Inner Pond Trek as the #1 Best New Trip for 2011. The nearly complete yet unmarked trail begins and ends with a one-hour boat ride: across Parsons Pond in the south and Portland Creek Inner and Outer Ponds in the north. The 30-kilometer trek combines sections of the IATNL Devil’s Bite and Indian Lookout Trails, and includes views of 7 fiords, numerous waterfalls – including 1,000ft high Partridge Pond Falls – and abundant moose and caribou.
